WSRF – SINCE 2015

 

“World SwimRun Federation” also referred to as “WSRF” and herein after referred to the Statute.

Under article 60 et sea.of the Swiss Civil Code the association has its seat in Lugano. WSRF does not pursue profit and has been set up for sporting purposes.

WSRF ha the purpose to regulate, organize, promote and divulge swimrun sport around the world. For swimrun is intended a multidisciplinary sporting activity that involves the practice of outdoor running alternating with free style water swimming involving many transitions between the racing and swimming phases without a change zone for athletes, who must then swim with their running shoes on their feet. For the purpose of pursuing the WSRF purpose it will be activated for:

A. Provide a basic plan for a national swimrun federation from each nation to join WSRF;

B. To promote and develop swimrun sport in the world in accordance with the principles set out by the Olympic Charter and in protection of physical and mental health of athletes, fighting doping in all its forms;

C. To issue rules for international competitions;

D. Organizing individual and team world championships, as well as other continental and world tournaments, depending on what the club is to decide;

 

E. Ordinary Member

1. Any National or continental federation, respectively any union of National association that intends to become a member of the association must submit a written request to the Secretary General paying the balance for the affiliate application. This tax is equal to the annual social contribution.

2. The executive committee shall be responsible for the processing of the applications for affiliation. It can accept or reject the application. Any rejected application must be explained.

3. If the application is rejected, the affiliate fee will be refunded.

4. The national or continental federation whose application has been rejected has the right to appeal to the Congress, which will evaluate the appeal during the first session available. The appeal must be filed within 60 days of receipt of the decision of the Executive Committee for rejection and must be detailed.

5. Affiliation request accepted by the Executive Committee shall entail the admission of the applicant federation as a candidate member. The nomination as an ordinary member must be approved by the Congress at the earliest possible opportunity.

6. Ordinary officers have the right to oppose the membership of a candidate member by giving their written observations to the Secretary General in writing. Opposition should be dealt with during the next Congress

7. If the opposition to affiliation as an ordinary partner of a candidate member is open, the application shall remain suspended in accordance with the Statue.

8. In any case the affiliation will be valid for a period of at least 2 years.
